Every day is different at our company. As a consultant, the tasks are very diverse: networking, advertising, searching talent… From A-Y you have control over your own 'company' and the full process in the search for clients and candidates. You can make full use of your sales drive, persuasiveness and communication skills at Hays. As a company we are 'Passionate About People', we never lose sight of the person behind a cv or business card. This allows you to use your interpersonal skills to bring companies and candidates together. Good listening skills, good organisation, follow-up…: it's all part of the job. And the payoff is placing people into the right roles. At Hays we understand that the right job can change a person’s life and the right person can transform a business.
As a global leader in recruitment in 33 countries, we can offer you the prospect of a global career. You'll connect with people from all over the world, and yet, even though we are internationally based, we attach great importance to the local character of our business. In the future, we’ll also expand our office network to support our strategic plans and to stay close to our candidates.
Whether our employees want to move to another Belgian city or another country, we always try to be creative in our solutions so that we don't lose valuable Hays-DNA. Switzerland, France, Canada, Australia, …: you name it!
At Hays we believe that motivated employees lead to satisfied candidates and clients. A satisfied employee not only helps us to achieve our goals but is also part of what makes Hays a great place to work. To achieve this, we offer a varied and competitive package of rewards and benefits. For our consultants we also concentrate on the financial picture by offering bonuses, commissions, smartphones and company cars. We motivate our staff with incentives, ambitious targets and offer high achievers opportunities to travel to our team buildings and to dinners in exclusive restaurants.
Furthermore, we actively promote a positive work-life balance, with an annual Health & Well-Being Program, a Loyalty Club for senior employees, and an annual National Conference team building weekend, where we bring all of our colleagues together to celebrate and reward.
In sum: at Hays we do everything we can to make the working life as pleasant as possible for you, on our Great Place to Work® and beyond.
At Hays you will become an expert in the sector that interests and challenges you the most.
Hays has three different brands in Belgium: Hays Experts Worldwide, Hays Response and Hays Executive. Furthermore, we also offer outsourcing solutions within Hays Talent Solutions.
Hays Belgium has eighteen divisions, ranging from IT and Life Sciences to Marketing for people who are looking for a permanent contract, a temporary contract or freelance contracting roles. Finally, we also have a specialised back office where our administrative services and our HR, Marketing and IT departments are located.
You’re free to travel several divisions during your career at Hays. We support employees who want to move within our business and develop their expertise in different divisions, as employee development is important to us.
Ambition is one of the core values at Hays and that is reflected not only in what we do, but also in how we do it. We support and motivate our people as much as possible during their careers. Together we will look at your ambitions for the future, and how we can help you grow, both towards managerial positions as towards other divisions or departments.
By means of coaching and guidance we develop our future leaders and offer our employees the opportunity to find their ideal position within Hays. The best example of our Hays ambition is our Managing Director, Robby Vanuxem. He started more than 15 years ago as a consultant at our company and worked his way up to become the Managing Director of Hays Belgium! We have also seen people make it across the business, for example, between divisions or from consultant to HR colleague!
Once you join Hays, the adventure really begins. Lifelong learning is in our DNA. Our management drives innovation and is constantly looking for the latest tools and methods to help us do our job even better. And our people are constantly improving themselves. We share knowledge within teams, between offices and with other Hays countries. At Hays we prioritise developing our people into experts. Our offering includes both continuous external and internal training and a collection of group training. Finally, we also organise 'lunch & learns', where employees can follow a short, remote training course during lunch break.
Hays also offers more accessible tools to stay informed about everything that's going on in the world of work with the bi-annual Hays Journal and the annual Hays Global Skills Index. The high degree of diversity within the company also ensures the necessary dynamics: our juniors blow a breath of fresh air through the offices, while our seniors are always ready to advise them. Our company is socially engaged: for example, we support Pink Ribbon. We also support the LGBTQ+ community through a partnership with ‘Antwerp Pride’ and try to make our company aware about the environment.
We are there for our employees throughout their careers in an environment that embraces diversity in all its aspects, whether it’s race, gender, sexual orientation, …, as a Great Place to Work® should be.
